  Yes. Most of the MPG/DAT files can be burnt as VCD by following the steps outlined in the following URL. REMEMBER DAT FILES ARE SAME AS MPG FILES. IF YOUR MEDIA PLAYER DOES NOT PLAY A DAT FILE, JUST RENAME IT AS A .mpg FILE.

  Not all DVD players play VCDs. You will have to check with manufacturer of the DVD.
